Herndon Hurricanes Red scored their second tournament championship in a row at the 2014 FPYC Liberty Cup.  The round-robin format of the event saw the Red team play four game in which they went undefeated, scoring eight times while giving up just three goals.

 

The girls eased their way into the weekend with a 2-2 result in their first game.  Things picked up on both ends of the field in the second game on Saturday, with Red putting a 3-0 performance together which had them tied for first place in the group. 

 

Sunday morning’s game ended as a 2-1 victory for the girls which set up what amounted to a championship game within the round-robin format for the afternoon contest.  Red secured a 1-0 victory for their third straight win of the tournament and another tournament championship for the Hurricanes program!
