Super Y Championships
December 17, 2019
Two Total Futbol Super Y league teams competed in the National Super Y Championships in Florida December 13-17. The Girls U14 and U16/17 teams traveled to the Hillsborough County Tournament Sportsplex in Tampa for three hard-fought games of group play. Neither team advanced to the knockout round in their age group, but both teams played well against top competition. A total of 120 boys and girls teams from across the nation vied for National Championships in five age groups (U13, U14, U15, U16/17, and U18/19).

"The Super Y League Nationals event was an incredible experience for our U14 and U16/17 girls teams," said Jimmy Brewer, Total Futbol's Director of Programs. "There was great competition for both teams and our players proved that they can compete at a national level. It was a fun experience for many of the girls both on and off the field. As this was our first year competing, we are eager to try and qualify for the tournament again next year."
