Chantilly Storm added another trophy to their collection with a win at the 2014 Annandale Spring Showcase.  The team went undefeated on the weekend with strong performances throughout to secure the title.

 

Storm opened things up with a 3-1 victory to get the weekend started.  An early goal gave the group good momentum and they were able to extend the lead as they settled into the game.  The evening contest saw stiffer competition from a team that had also won their first game.  The game was even throughout, but the Storm were able to grab a goal and win 1-0.  The combination of results was enough to secure passage to the championship game.

 

The final on Sunday turned into a wild game.  Played in rapidly deteriorating conditions, the Storm nabbed an early 1-0 lead and seemed in control of the game.  As the weather started to turn, so did the game for the Storm.  A couple of quick goals against had the team down 2-1 at the break.  The halftime break turned the tide though, and the group jumped out of the gate as the second half started.  The girls found the net to equalize and quickly scored a beautiful winner on a long run after that to capture the win!
