Camp FAQs
General Camp Questions
- Is the camp co-ed? Yes, all Total Futbol camps are co-ed unless otherwise noted. For the residential camps, we will try to separate the floors by gender.
- What types of soccer activities can my child expect at the camp? The soccer will be broken up into various types of training to work on a variety of skills. A mix of technical work, small-sided games, skill competitions, tactical sessions, and scrimmages will be included based on the type of camp being run. Age and ability will determine some activities.
- What is the cancellation policy? A full refund will be given for any cancellations received at least 1 month prior to the beginning of a camp. Within 1 month, a 50% refund will be issued. Once a camp begins, there are no refunds.
- What should my child bring to a day or evening camp? They should have plenty of water, cleats, shin guards, tennis shoes, a properly inflated ball, a ball pump, insect repellent and sunscreen.
Residential and Extended Day Camps
- Is there supervision by both male and female adults at the residential camps? Yes, male and female Total Futbol coaches will be present. Depending on the size of the camp, volunteer parent chaperones may be added to bolster dorm supervision.
- What are the off-the-field activities? Numerous off the field activities will be planned by the coaches to provide activities for camp participants during down time. Extra amenities vary by camp location but can include swimming and other outdoor activities (Adventure Park, Zip Line, Whitewater Rafting for an additional cost).
- How do the meals work? All meals are provided for the attendees during their time at the camp from on-site cafeterias. Only dinner will be served the first day of camp so please make sure kids have a good lunch before checking-in as lunch will NOT be served this day.
- Can my child keep prescription medication with them at the camp? No. Prescription medicine must be given to the Total Futbol coach in charge of medicine upon arrival at the camp with a signed note detailing when the player needs to take it each day.
- Are facilities available for laundry? This varies by camp location.
- Are the dorms air-conditioned? This varies by location but most rooms at Camp Deep Creek, Sandy Spring, and Madeira are air-conditioned.
